POLCARD company processed in July 2005 more than 10 million of non-cash payment card transactions. It is the highest ever number of processed transactions since the beginning of the company on the Polish market.
In 2004 POLCARD serviced almost 95 million transactions worth 12 bn PLN. A success in July in terms of non-cash transactions confirms that Polish society uses cards more and more often said Adam Parfiniewicz, the President of POLCARD. The network of outlets cooperating with POLCARD is around 70.000 outlets, out of which 40.000 is equipped with electronic card accepting devices electronic POS Terminals (stationary and mobile), electronic cash registers and self-operated machines (selling tickets and fuel).
POLCARD company was founded in December 1990. It is the biggest acquirer on the Polish market, offering its services to merchants and to the banking sector. POLCARD created the biggest network in Poland of outlets accepting payment cards enabling acceptance of Visa, Visa Electron, Polcard, Polcard Bis, MasterCard, Maestro, Diners Club, PBK Styl and JCB cards.
