Związek Banków Polskich is a self-government organisation of banks, established in January 1991 and operating pursuant to the Law of 30 May 1989 on Chambers of Commerce. Its statutory objectives include: representing and protecting common interests of its members, e.g. with respect to legal regulations relating to the banking law, issuing opinions and legal evaluations, and delegating representatives to participate in the work of advisory and consultative institutions in the field of banking operations.
